What is it?
A browser-based tool that creates animated thumbnails from your videos. Converts to WebM, GIF, and MP4 with smooth transitions. Everything stays on your device — no uploads, no accounts, no nonsense.

Why did you build it?
Static thumbnails are boring and most video-to-GIF tools are either bloated desktop apps or sketchy upload-your-files-to-our-servers situations. I wanted something fast, private, and didn’t require installing anything.

Any challenges or tips?
Browser video APIs are powerful but quirky. Getting smooth frame extraction across different codecs took some trial and error. The key is keeping the file sizes small while maintaining that eye-catching motion.

Any plans to monetize or launch?
Nope. It does one thing well and that’s enough. If you need fancier editing, there are apps for that.
